It better balances the game and you might like the fixed Super Weapon General, where she can actually put up a good fight early game and turtle like she was intended. Vanilla and Nuke China I actually find the hardest because they use the nuke cannon a lot, and my base defences will often be wiped before I can counter them. This is why I hate facing the Ai, on one hand, they can be easy to overcome by using turtle tactics, but because there is no delay and each unit created basically has a mind of it's own I find it difficult to keep track of everything they are doing. 3 posts Posted 20 March 2015 - 03:41 PM Hi I'd like to play Zero Hour online, and I'm not shure which ports the game uses (I'd like to use it with gentool). Totally agree, I beat him a while back by simply surrounding my base with a mix of Stinger Sites and Quad Cannons, then I just built up a force from then on and entered his (poorly defended) backdoor to rip him a new one. Thus, if you know what you're doing, you can defeat USA Air Force AIs pretty easily. Even Hard AI for him is just pathetic, it hardly uses its strengths. USA Air Force is also considered to be the strongest general in the default 1.04 version of ZH, but the AI for him wouldn't tell you that. This is especially easy against China Tank because they have zero artillery and China is just the slowest faction in the game not counting China Nuke. ![]() If you're playing as USA Super Weapon or Laser Generals, then you can just out-camp most AIs minus China armies (except for the Tank General), provided you have a boatload of Patriots everywhere with Pathfinders and Avengers by them and then you can just have your Auroras and Particle Cannons pick away at everything. Actually, there's no way to get around this without making the AI appear really, really stupid and make it too easy to beat. It also causes Humvees to only use their TOW Missiles but still.ĪI can always tell where your units are regardless of any map-revealing abilities or Fog of War. Because of a glitch, (caused by the Ranger weaponswitch in teams, I hear) Hard USAs can use the Missile Defender laser-lock weapon further than human players, use it instantly (without a delay), and target buildings with them. The extra cash thing is already mentioned but that also helps to show that they are darned cheaters. Hard AI can be hard to beat in certain cases, and just plain pathetic in others. Yeah but if you want to see in-depth how they work, the scripts will tell you more than the replay in some cases. Or watch a replay with AI in it and click their name and you will see their amount of cash. ![]()
